You don't need a referral to visit us at Inner North Speech Pathology. Feel free to call, email, or send a message through our website to discuss making an appointment.

If you come with a referral from a GP you may be able to receive a rebate for up to 5 sessions. Inner North Speech Pathology are registered with Medicare, and if you have been referred under a Chronic Condition Management Plan (Enhanced Primary Care Plan) you will be able to claim back $61.80 per session for up to 5 Speech Pathology sessions per calendar year. Please contact your GP to discuss whether you may be eligible.

Children under 25 years of age presenting with complex neurodevelopmental conditions and eligible disabilities including

• Autism

• Stuttering

• A speech sound disorder (including an articulation or phonological disorder, childhood apraxia of speech, or dysarthria)

• Cleft lip and/or palate

may be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate of $87.25 for up to 8 assessment sessions and 20 treatment sessions under the M10 MBS item numbers. Please contact your GP or Paediatrician to discuss whether you may be eligible.

If you have private health insurance you may also be eligible for a rebate, although this varies between health funds. Please check with your health fund prior to making an appointment.

Inner North Speech Pathology are able to see National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants whose NDIS plans are self managed or plan managed. This includes children with an Early Childhood Early Intervention NDIS package. Please speak to your planner or Ealy Childhood Partner to discuss plan management options.
